J Bio Food Recycling Co., Ltd. (Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture) is a company that operates a food recycling plant established in August 2016 by the JFE Group (JFE Gr) and the East Japan Railway Company Group (JR East Gr). The JFE Gr aims to expand its recycling business, while the JR East Gr focuses on improving the recycling rate of waste. Both companies leverage the know-how and strengths they have cultivated over many years to engage in intermediate waste disposal, recycling, and power generation. In the early 2010s, the facility manager and assistant manager of the Kenneth W. Hotz Water Resource Recovery Facility (formerly the Liverpool Wastewater Treatment Plant) in Medina County, Ohio, faced the challenge of improving the sludge treatment process. In the region, they decided to adopt an anaerobic digester equipped with thermal hydrolysis pretreatment to maximize energy efficiency through biogas production and recovery. After thorough market research, they implemented our online VFA meter, the "EZ7200 Series," which monitors the VFA, alkalinity, and pH of the digester in real-time. This product proved particularly effective during the startup of the thermal hydrolysis system, ensuring that the supply flow rate to the digester did not become excessive and that the pH levels of the methane-producing bacteria were not suppressed, thereby securing the maximum production of biogas. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.*
